Tenovin-1是苯甲酰硫脲化合物，sirtuin 1/2的可逆抑制劑，IC₅₀值分別為21 μM和10 μM，也抑制MDM2介導的p53的降解，不影響p53蛋白合成，具有潛在的抗癌活性。

（一）細胞實驗（體外實驗）

Tenovin-1 (1-10 μM)在SK-N-MC細胞中誘導濃度依賴性細胞死亡，引起DNA損傷。^[1] Tenovin-1 (5 μM)增加膠質母細胞瘤細胞和大鼠原代星形膠質細胞的核大小。Tenovin-1誘導細胞衰老，似乎與細胞死亡無關。^[2] Tenovin-1 (10 μM)減少NSCLC細胞的增殖和錨定獨立生長。Tenovin-1還抑制H358肺癌細胞的細胞生長。^[4] 

（二）動物實驗（體內實驗）

在BL2細胞或ARN8細胞異種移植小鼠模型中，腹腔注射Tenovin-1 (92 mg/kg)抑制瘤體生長。^[5]
